Our students often:
Thrive in calm, predictable settings
Benefit from individualized academic pacing
Need support with social skills and emotional regulation
Feel overwhelmed in large classrooms
Work best in small groups with consistent adults
Many of our students have autism, ADHD, sensory differences, or related learning needs.
Embark may be a great fit if your child:
✔ Can participate safely in a small-group setting
✔ Does not require full-time 1:1 adult support, or can participate meaningfully and safely with a therapist in attendance at all times (i.e. a traveling RBT).
✔ Can follow basic classroom routines with guidance
✔ Benefits from structure and visual supports
✔ Is working toward greater independence and social growth
We want every child in our program to feel safe and supported. Because of our small staff and environment, we may not be able to meet the needs of students who:
✘ Require constant 1:1 supervision *
✘ Frequently elope from classrooms (we do not currently have a facility designed to keep an eloping child safe) *
✘ Have severe, ongoing aggression toward peers or staff
✘ Need intensive therapeutic or clinical placement
✘ Have medical needs that require attention during their time at school
*Exceptions can sometimes be made, on a case-by-case basis, if the student has an RBT or other therapist attend with them.
If that’s the case, we’re happy to help you explore other options that may better serve your child.
